Yes, I really enjoy listening to music; it's part of my daily routine. When I was younger I was mainly into pop and a bit of rock, mostly whatever my friends were playing. These days my taste has broadened to include jazz and some classical pieces. I usually listen to music while commuting or studying, because it helps me focus and relax. As for live concerts, I've been to a few. The most memorable one was an outdoor festival last summer, where the atmosphere was electric and everyone was singing along together.

I'd like to talk about an open-air music festival I attended a couple of summers ago in a large park on the edge of my city. It was a two-day event featuring a mix of local bands and a few internationally known artists, so there was a real variety of genres on offer. I went with three close friends, all of whom share my love of live music, and we had been looking forward to it for months. We arrived early to claim a good spot near the main stage. During the day we wandered between the different stages, sampled food from various stalls, and even joined a small drumming workshop, which was unexpectedly fun. As the evening approached, the headline act came on, and the entire crowd seemed to move and sing as one. I enjoyed it so much for a few reasons. Firstly, the sense of community was incredible; thousands of strangers shared the same energy and excitement. Secondly, hearing music performed live gives it a depth and emotion that recordings simply can't match. Finally, spending an entire day surrounded by friends, with no work or stress, made it feel like a genuine escape. It's an experience I'd happily repeat whenever I get the chance.

Part 3

  1. Why do you think live concerts remain popular despite streaming services?
  2. How has technology changed the way people experience music?
  3. Do you think governments should support live music events financially?
  4. Is traditional music important for a country's culture?

Live concerts stay popular because they offer something streaming can't replicate: a shared, in-person atmosphere and a direct connection with performers. Technology has transformed access dramatically, letting people discover global artists instantly and even watch concerts online, though this can reduce attendance at smaller venues. I do believe governments should provide some funding, since live music supports local economies and preserves cultural identity, especially for emerging artists who struggle financially. Finally, traditional music is hugely important, as it carries a nation's history and values across generations, and losing it would mean losing part of who we are.
